Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs (32/64bit)

Preamble

  • For troubleshooting, see the FAQs
  • You should already have your build environment setup, as described here
  • You require the original game package called: AmnesiaAMFP-1.0.3-3.sh
  • You should uninstall the game if it's already installed
  • All commands should be run as the same user that created the build environment, unless otherwise stated
  • This is a large game to build, ensure you have at least 11GB free in your build area.

Creating the RPM

• Verify you have the correct original package by using md5sum:
md5sum AmnesiaAMFP-1.0.3-3.sh
The number produced should match this, if it doesn't then the build may fail.
435ea4c826e8a331ea293b81031bf1d7  AmnesiaAMFP-1.0.3-3.sh
• Copy the original package to your ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES directory, for example:
cp AmnesiaAMFP-1.0.3-3.sh ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES
• Download the following 'nosrc' RPM using your browser (or wget if you prefer): amnesia-amfp-1.0.3-1.nosrc.rpm

• Change to the directory where the 'nosrc' RPM has been saved and type the following:

rpmbuild --rebuild amnesia-amfp-1.0.3-1.nosrc.rpm

• If all is successful, the binary RPM will be created in ~/rpmbuild/RPMS/i686/ on 32bit systems or in ~/rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/ on 64bit systems. Use yum (as root) to install the RPM as it will resolve any dependencies for you.

32bit example:

yum -y install myhomespace/rpmbuild/RPMS/i686/amnesia-amfp-1.0.3-1.i686.rpm
64bit example:
yum -y install myhomespace/rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64/amnesia-amfp-1.0.3-1.x86_64.rpm
